How to Run a Successful Challenge Group

So you are a new coach (or maybe a coach that just hasn't done a challenge group yet) and you want to know what it takes to run one successfully?

We have a blog post for that! :)

Here are the 10 things you need to do to make sure you run a success Challenge Group:

1. Set Expectations: At the beginning of your challenge group lay it all out on the table for them. Let them know it's important they post in daily, be active members of the group and that most of all you are there to support them! Have them do their beginning measurements, pics and weight. Make sure they are set up with a fitness program and nutrition plan to follow. By setting them up for success at the very beginning they will by more likely to succeed.

2. Post a Check-in Post EVERY.SINGLE.DAY: Everyday have a check in post for your challengers. Go to pinterest, find some motivational quotes, and give them some inspirational content for the day. Here is a screenshot of an example post below:

3. Lead by Example: Show up everyday, share your workout selfies, pics of your food, Shakeology selfies. Be an active presence and show them that you are in this with them.

4. Respond to Everyone's Posts: Don't just "like" what they post. Comment on it! Facebook has this awesome little feature where you can click "reply" to the specific comment so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle of all the other posts. Cheer them on, congratulate them, be an encouragement to the healthy changes they are making daily.

5. Be Real: Let's face it, in a perfect world we'd stay on track with our eating everyday, all day for all of eternity no mater what life curve balls come our way. In realty things happen. We slip up and go through a drive through and eat a cheeseburger. Or we just didn't do our meal prep that week and fell off course. By being accountable and real with your challengers you will be able to relate with them and strengthen those bonds. They don't expect you to be perfect, if anything it will help them realize how you really are truly in this together.

6. Themed Posts: Mix it up every once in awhile and do a themed post! Motivation Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Workout Selfie Wednesday... Be creative and have some fun with it! It will keep your challengers engaged and motivated.

7. Prizes and Celebrations: Prizes:It doesn't have to be an expensive prize but giving away something every once it awhile makes it fun and fresh. Once a month I like to do a post where I have everyone answer a specific question, share their favorite recipe, etc. and I all that post will be entered in a random drawing. The winner gets a copy of Autumn Calabrese's new cookbook "Fixate". This is only $14.95 with our coach discount! So it's inexpensive and your challengers will appreciate it. I

Celebrations: Celebrate those milestones your challengers reach! As your challengers lose weight (5, 10, 20 lbs, etc. celebrate those milestones! Give them special shout outs and give the group a chance to congratulate and cheer them on. Not only are you giving encouragement to your challenger that had success, you are inspiring the others to keep pushing forward to do the same.

8. Give love to those stop posting: If you've noticed one of your challengers hasn't been posting. Send them a private message to see how they are doing. Don't point the finger at them for not posting. Just let them know you've been thinking about them and see if there is anything you can do to help them stay motivated with the goals they set out for themselves? Be a light, encourage them and lift them up.

9. Schedule your Posts in advance: To make sure your daily check-in post goes up the same time everyday you can schedule your posts. I personally recommend PostCron.com. One to two nights a week I stay up after my kids go to sleep and schedule all my challenge group posts for the week. It frees up my time during the day and keeps me consistently showing up for my challengers each day. To learn how to schedule posts check out my video here:

10. Share Recipes: I'm constantly looking for new healthy recipes that are family friendly, easy to make an don't require a ton of ingredients. When I find recipes that fit this criteria I absolutely share it with my challengers! They love getting new recipes to try and it keeps them inspired.

Having and running challenge groups is a crucial part of coaching. Don't over load your self by running multiple challenge groups at first. Start with one, and really put your heart and dedication into this group of people. Remember they choose YOU, they choose to do this with you because they saw something in you that inspired them. It's so important that you show up for them everyday, lead by example and come to them with a servant heart.

About Us

Welcome to The Passion Project! We are two friends who have joined together with a passion for serving others through health and fitness. We have already begun to experience the financial blessings that have come along with it. We have a vision of building a team full of passionate people who's mission is to help others, spend more time with their families and create a path to financial freedom.

About Jenny:

Hi I'm Jenny! I'm a Wife, Mama to my Carson who is 4 and my Lily who is turning 2 in a few months. I'm a multi-tasker by nature and I'm always on the move. I'm a working Mom, who loves all things Fall related (that goes for pumpkins too), Coffee, photography, ridiculous cat memes and a good book. My heart belongs to God and it's my mission in life to serve others, share God's grace and truth and raise my babies knowing and loving Jesus. With Beachbody over the past year I have lost over 30 pounds with 21 Day Fix, drinking my daily Shakeology and eating clean! It wasn't until I was about 6 months into my journey that I felt God had put it on my heart to share it with others and encourage other women that it is possible to take care of our health despite being busy taking care of others! Being a Coach has been a huge blessing for my family. I have been able to help supplement our income, we are all eating healthier and have bonded together in being healthier spiritually and physically. I'm so excited about the coaches that have been joining our team and what the future holds. Let's join together in helping others and paving a path to financial freedom! About Ashley:

Hey there! I'm Ashley and I am so excited to share this experience with all of you! I am a wife and mother who loves shopping, travel, a really good book, and an even better glass of wine. My boys are Jason (husband), Jake, and Max (little ones pictured above).

Several months ago, I found myself tired and cranky all the time. I didn't have the energy to play with my kids at the end of a long work day. I knew I needed to make a change, so I pulled out the old P90X program my husband purchased in 2007. Then Cize was released and my world was changed! Combined with Shakeology and my new regimen of clean eating, not only has my body transformed, but I've seen a huge increase in my strength and energy.

I am so very thankful for these changes in my life that I'm now on a path to help others achieve their goals and dreams. Beachbody has been such a blessing in my life. What better way to pay it forward than to ensure that a whole new group of coaches start off on the right track to reaching their owns goals?! I'm so excited to see what we can accomplish together!
